Explore the Galápagos
By Stacey Zable

Discover this remarkable region with Celebrity Cruises.
Travel with Celebrity Cruises to the magnificent archipelago 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, where 19 islands and 42 islets make up the Galápagos Islands formed from volcanic eruptions some three to four million years ago. Explore this special world with small groups accompanied by naturalists who are experts in their respective fields. Return each day to the comfort of an all-suites ship designed specifically for this region.

Expert-Led
Celebrity provides an experience to see the Galápagos Islands with their own onboard naturalists who are certified by Galápagos National Park. Each boasts their own area of expertise in such subjects as biology, law, engineering, hospitality, tourism, or social sciences. They share their passion, stories, and knowledge with enthusiasm and dedication with the small groups of guests they lead on shore explorations.
Nightly briefings explain what you can experience the next day in terms of sights, activities, and excursion options. On board, you can also choose to go Galápagos Glamping on the top deck of the ship, where you will stargaze with the naturalists at night and wake up the next day for the treat of a private breakfast.

An Excursion Experience
Two shore excursions with naturalists are offered per day so you can get the most out of your Galápagos discovery. These include snorkeling gear, walking sticks, and wetsuits you may need to enjoy the excursions to the fullest. Imagine fully embracing the beauty of the destinations as you tender in and see marine iguanas sunning on rocks and sea lions along the shore. Explore white sand beaches and volcanic terrain during short walks to long hikes and follow your naturalists to get as close as eight feet from the incredible Galápagos tortoises. Dive into the underwater world of the Galápagos, snorkeling among sea turtles, marine iguanas, and sea lions. Advanced snorkeling tours provide another level of experience. Kayak along secluded shores, where you can spot marine iguanas, eagle rays, sea lions, dolphins, and penguins, as you paddle.

A Four-Star Ship
The 100-guest, all-suite Celebrity Flora is an intimate Forbes Travel Guide Four Star ship specifically-imagined for sailing the Galápagos Islands. It is also one of the world’s most eco-friendly ships and is designed to leave less of a footprint in this special place on the planet.

I took my first trip to Disney when I was six and haven't stopped traveling since. I fell in love with It’s a Small World. How great was it to visit numerous countries on a joyous boat ride! Since then, I've traveled to 50+ countries on six continents. In 2017, I traveled around the world and visited 23 countries – I spent more than a month in Italy and England and also enjoyed time in Israel, Japan, France and Morocco. While I spent a lot of time traveling solo, I also enjoyed time with my family and friends. Seeing their joy discovering new places helped me discover the joy that comes from planning a magical trip. From then, I decided to turn my passion into a profession.
Some of my favorite places to go include Italy, London, Paris, New York City, Boston, The Grand Canyon, The Galapagos Islands, Israel and Japan.
