Vitamin Sea

Immersive wellness at sea begins with Virgin Voyages.
Imagine waking up to the gentle sway of the ocean, stretching into sun salutations on the top deck as salt-sprayed air fills your lungs. On board Virgin Voyages, wellness is woven into the rhythm of life at sea. As part of the “Vitamin Sea” ethos, Virgin Voyages describes wellness as an all encompassing outlook where movement, relaxation and food combine. Instead of relegating spa and fitness to isolated zones, the line has built a full wellness program across its vessels from stadium-style outdoor fitness spaces to sauna-soaked spa sanctuaries and even sunrise yoga with ocean views.

Fitness with a View
For those who move more than meditate, the fitness offering is expansive. The ship’s signature “Runway” is an exterior, 255-meter running track suspended above the sea for a unique cardio session. Indoors and out, you’ll find the Athletic Club with outdoor training zones, a boxing ring, basketball court and circuit stations, plus the B-Complex gym for weights, cardio, yoga and Pilates.
Group fitness classes are included in the fare, with HIIT, spin, bungee workouts, SUP yoga, and more covering all levels of ability. A destination for the fit traveler, but also anyone curious about moving their body in a new way. Book your popular fitness classes via the app soon after boarding. HIIT, sunrise yoga and bungee fill up quickly.

Spa & Thermal Sanctuary
On the flip side, when stillness is what you’re after, turn to the “Redemption Spa” for full sensory immersion. Within the spa lies the Thermal Suite: a salt room, mud room, steam room, sauna, hot and cold plunge pools, and heated marble hammam benches. Spa treatments range from hot-stone massages and body wraps to facials, acupuncture and high-tech body composition scans. Make it the destination on a port day when the spa is quieter for extra indulgence and deep restoration.
Mindful Moments & Social Flow
Wellness isn’t purely physical on board. On the upper deck, a serene platform hosts sunrise meditation, yoga and stretch sessions, lending a deliberate space for reflection. Meanwhile, the social side of wellness also thrives: after a session, you might catch wellness mocktails and healthy snacks in the “Gym & Tonic” juice bar and lounge.

During the “Well-Being Season” sailings (notably in January each year), the programming escalates with wellness workshops, healthy eating menus, mocktails and additional interactive sessions. If you have specific wellness goals such as recovery, post-workout, or detox research the specialized programs the Well-Being Season offer.

Nourishment for the Body & Soul
Food is a central part of Virgin Voyages’ wellness vision. Every restaurant on board emphasizes fresh, thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Menus highlight plant-based dishes, lean proteins, and global flavors that satisfy without excess. The onboard juice bars and cafes serve cold-pressed juices, wellness shots, and light bites designed to complement an active lifestyle. Dining becomes less about indulgence and more about balance, though guests can still savor a glass of wine or a perfectly crafted dessert when the mood strikes.
Why It Works
What sets the Virgin Voyages wellness experience apart is the seamless integration of movement, rest and indulgence. Fitness is included, spa is optional and elevated, relaxation is actively built into the sailing, not just tacked on. And the adult-only nature of the voyage frees you to lean fully into whichever pace you choose—whether it’s high-octane sweat or restorative calm.
