For example, adventures in Alaska can have you whale watching in Juneau, traveling along the White Pass Railway in Skagway, and seeing shows that introduce the unique local culture while in Ketchikan. The kids will be thrilled to visit Dublin Castle and get a glimpse into prehistoric times at Stonehenge on a British Isles cruise. A port stop in Ensenada can have you all visiting La Bufadora, which is one of the largest marine geysers in the world and can shoot water up to 100 feet high, or walking to Riviera del Pacifico to watch Mariachi bands. Many Caribbean cruises also include a day at private island Celebration Key, where a beach party and time on the white sands create special family tales to share.

Meet Friends at Dedicated Youth Centers

Princess’ Youth & Teen Clubs are designed with activities for different age groups in mind, allowing young cruisers from infant to teens to meet new friends and have fun. Families with babies six months to two years can enjoy free play during dedicated parent-accompanied hours. The Treehouse for ages three to seven offers a forest-themed haven for hands-on activities and programs. Ages eight to 12 can play in The Lodge, where they can take part in sports activities and spend time in a comfortable place designed for them. The Beach House for teens ages 13-17 is a space designed to hang out and socialize. There are also kids-only dinners on select evenings, so parents get to enjoy time alone with just the two of them.

At the end of the day, dinner is a time to share the excitement of the day. Your family may have enjoyed a new destination together or mom and dad might have spent the day lounging at the pool while the kids were at the Youth & Teen Clubs and grandma and grandpa were playing cards in one of the onboard lounges. On Princess’ ships, there are many dining options where you can try new regional foods, enjoy favorite international cuisines, and request kids’ menus in the Main Dining Room.
