Singita Lebombo Lodge

Suspended high above the N’wanetsi River, the dramatic cliffside setting of Singita Lebombo Lodge’s 13 contemporary glass-walled suites ensures inimitable views of the world-renowned Kruger National Park. The lodge’s cutting-edge design is cleverly integrated into its African wilderness setting, where everything defers to nature and light-filled structures welcome the breathtaking surrounds inside.

Surrounded by Singita’s 33,000-acre private concession in the Park, the lodge boasts communal areas that extend seamlessly into rocky outcrops dotted with giant euphorbia trees. Features include a roof terrace, multimedia room, library, interactive kitchen, espresso bar and an all-day ‘bar-deli’. The exclusive-use villa – comprising two 2-bedroom suites, each with their own private pool – is set apart from the lodge and includes a full staff complement, private boma, open-plan kitchen and airy living areas that spill onto inviting outdoor spaces with an expansive pool.

Singita Sweni Lodge

Nestled on the banks of the Sweni River, this intimate lodge provides a bold new African context for contemporary design – as well as an artisanal food journey focusing on sustainable, seasonal flavors. Offering intimate engagements with nature, the lodge features seven suites, including a secluded Pool Suite with a shaded riverfront deck. The option to connect this suite to the adjacent one allows for a more expansive option and adds an extra layer of privacy that’s perfect for families.

Inspired by beetle shells, chameleons, birds’ wings and the surrounding trees, Sweni Lodge’s subtle glamour celebrates gold and bronze ore, gleaming timbers and vibrant pops of color. With guests having private access to 33,000 acres of the Kruger National Park, unforgettable game-viewing experiences in one of the continent’s most iconic wildlife areas are par for the course

Singita Lebombo Suites

Suspended above the N’wanetsi River, the low-slung, linear silhouettes of Lebombo’s fifteen glass-walled suites have always embodied cool, contemporary design. Highly polished and finely tuned, a truly sophisticated, abstract, African style has evolved where everything defers to the magnificence of nature in smart yet relaxed living spaces that merge with the colours, textures, and sculptural shapes of the wild.

Like the Lebombo Euphorbia tree after which it was named, the design of Lebombo Lodge is one of a kind. From the sweeping wooden decks, you can watch the theatre that unfolds before you, while the lap pool beckons to enjoy a relaxing afternoon. The suites feature contemporary finishes with beds dressed with Egyptian cotton and silky-soft throws.

All suites are en-suite with an inside and outside shower, bath, mini bar and fridge, room safe, air-conditioning, overhead fans, direct dial telephones and game viewing deck with a day bed. All the suites have direct dial telephones.

Singita Sweni Suites

Tucked into the Sweni River bank, this intimate lodge provides a bold, new African context for contemporary design, architecture and food. A hidden jewel of seven suites, including a new family suite, Singita Sweni Lodge exudes glamorous attitude. Splashes of vibrant colour are inspired by beetles, chameleons, while neutrals draw in the light.

Designed with open-plan living in mind, your suite flows from the bathroom area, through to the lounge and into the bedroom – yet if you wish, each area may be sealed off by curtains. Try the outdoor shower overlooking the river or – for a magical experience – 'camp out' under the stars on the day bed out on your viewing deck.  This tranquil sanctuary is elevated on stilts with decks of timber. Even when you're indoors, you'll have the sensation of being close to the river and trees.

The luxury air-conditioned suites have floor-to-ceiling glass walls, luxurious bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, an expansive living area, mini bar and fridge, room safe and private wooden leisure decks with a day bed. All the suites have direct dial telephone.

The Singita Food Expereince

THE SINGITA FOOD EXPERIENCE

The food of Singita tells the stories of the people of the land – their traditions, celebration of each season’s abundance, and ability to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature. It’s infused with the flavors of Africa, grounded in farm-to-table freshness and seamlessly balances classic and modern inspiration – bringing the unique flavors of each region to life.

The evolution of Singita’s world-class culinary offering over the past three decades has seen the brand showcase the continent’s most mouthwatering flavors, transform the gourmet landscape for luxury safaris, and perfectly complement the exquisite wilderness areas in which guests find themselves. Every plate and platter expresses its commitment to create an unforgettable food offering, while practicing environmental sustainability at every turn.

Fresh, local and seasonal dishes form the heartbeat of the menus and the well-balanced meals are carefully crafted to nourish, delight and introduce guests to Africa’s most enchanting flavors – from Zambezi beer-battered bream in Zimbabwe to South Africa’s hearty umngqusho (samp & beans) and the fragrant tagines of East Africa. Recipes are mindfully developed to highlight the various dishes of the regions.

With homegrown produce supplied by trusted local suppliers and gathered from our own onsite gardens, the abundance of fresh vegetables throughout each region enables the chefs to create wholesome, nurturing options.

Africa is at the heart of the food offering, with deli-snacks, dishes and meals celebrating the inimitable and rich flavors of the continent. This is heightened at Singita’s boma and bush dinners – where fire-cooking and local inspiration find their most authentic expression under a canopy of stars. With menus that change daily, guests experience a variety of dishes and an array of locally inspired recipes. Each lodge also offers unique local highlights, from traditional specialties to teas and refreshing drinks.

Striking the perfect balance, Singita’s food journey is sincere, simple and sustainable; yet elegant, refined and sophisticated. Using both traditional and modern techniques, it simultaneously embraces classic tastes and health-conscious practices, and caters for a new way of travelling that focusses on wellness & wellbeing. With a flexible approach and fully stocked kitchens throughout, guests can also order any comfort food they want and personalize meals to their liking.

Singita’s 100-year purpose is to preserve and protect large parts of African wilderness for future generations.

Echoing Singita’s enduring reason for being, the food concept is fully aligned with its commitment to the preservation of the continent’s natural legacy. The focus on sustainability is a key consideration in the design of the food journey, making the production of zero waste in the kitchens a primary objective – from how ingredients are sourced to meal preparation and mindful portioning.

Added to that, two Community Culinary Schools – in Singita Kruger National Park and Singita Serengeti – provide young people drawn from local communities the opportunity to graduate as commis chefs of the highest calibre. The schools represent a significant step towards achieving Singita’s long-term, broad community development goal to assist families living in and around its reserves to thrive – both economically and socially.
