Silky Oaks Lodge is a refined rainforest retreat set on the banks of the crystal-clear Mossman River, at the gateway to the ancient Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland. Located where two World Heritage-listed icons meet - the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef - the lodge offers an immersive luxury experience deeply connected to nature, culture, and place.

The lodge features forty contemporary treehouse-style suites elevated among the rainforest canopy, designed to embrace the sights and sounds of the surrounding forest and river. Each suite includes a private balcony with hammock, king bedding dressed in natural linens, curated artworks, local timbers, and generous ensuite bathrooms. Select categories offer outdoor bathtubs, expansive decks, and family-friendly configurations, while the exclusive Daintree Pavilion provides a private residence-style experience with infinity pool and open-plan living.

Dining is central to the Silky Oaks experience. Guests enjoy daily tropical breakfast, signature evening drinks and snacks, and dinner in the open-air Treehouse Restaurant, where contemporary Australian cuisine with tropical and Indigenous influences showcases the region’s seasonal produce. Meals are paired with selected premium Australian wines and served against a backdrop of rainforest canopy and flowing river.

A stay includes a curated selection of lodge experiences such as guided morning yoga, self-guided rainforest walks with exclusive access to nearby trails, river swimming and snorkelling, use of e-bikes, and a daily scheduled shuttle to Port Douglas. For deeper exploration, the lodge facilitates bespoke experiences with premium local operators, including First Nations Kuku Yalanji cultural walks, Great Barrier Reef expeditions, river and rainforest adventures, and scenic helicopter journeys (additional cost applies).

The Healing Waters Spa, nestled among lush rainforest gardens, offers restorative treatments inspired by ancient beliefs in the Mossman River as a life-giving force. Featuring multiple treatment rooms with rainforest or river views, the spa provides a tranquil space for relaxation and renewal using natural Australian skincare ranges.

Silky Oaks Lodge is located 20 minutes from Port Douglas and approximately 80 minutes from Cairns Airport, with access via scenic coastal drives, private transfers, or helicopter. The lodge welcomes guests aged ten years and above and offers a minimum two-night stay with generous inclusions.
