The former Public Library on the Prinsengracht Canal, was reborn as the luxury-lifestyle Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht hotel in October 2012. Every space in the hotel, uniquely designed by the iconic Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, reflects a modern and adventurous view of Dutch history and local culture. You will find grand princes in our garden, a breathtaking lobby, historic maps and iconic illustrations taken from books found in the former Public Library.

Barstro Prins & Aap is located in the hotel. Here, meals are served throughout the day, from coffee to cocktails, in an eclectic Dutch design. Cocktails, in particular, feature prominently on the menu here. The food has an international focus with a creative Dutch twist. All ingredients are locally sourced and seasonal.

Barstro Prins & Aap promises innovative, handcrafted cocktails, which profile local ingredients and take you on a sustainable no-waste journey that doesn’t compromise on flavor, but rather elevates it. Guests can watch the world go by on the canal outside, disappear into a cozy corner, or join Bar Manager at the bar counter to get close to the action.

Prinsengracht Suite

Indulge in this 1518 sq. ft., top-floor suite boasting locally inspired décor. This one- bedroom suite features a king bed, living room, dining table, kitchenette with pantry, library and an over-sized bathroom featuring a Marcel Wanders-designed bathtub and walk-in rain shower. The suite also has a roof top terrace with views of the canals of Amsterdam. There is the possibility for a connecting twin room. This is our Presidential suite.
