It should come as no surprise that French culture has had quite an impact on all of Canada, even as far as Victoria. This oceanfront town is filled to the brim with charming French bistros and restaurants. For a one-of-a-kind dining experience, head to Le Petit Chef-Victoria at Fire + Water Grill. With the help of a projector pointed toward your table, you’ll get to watch a tiny French cartoon chef put your meal together right on your plate! And once the show is over, you’ll have a tasty plate of food, like bouillabaisse or crème brûlée, waiting for you.
If you’d prefer to take a culinary trip to French Wine Country, make your way to Stage. This trendy wine bar serves up some of the best whites and reds in town, including sauvignon from Touraine and Chardonnay from Chablis. And let’s not forget to mention the ever-changing menu, which features the best ingredients from local farmers and purveyors.

Along with an incredible food scene, Victoria is also home to more than its fair share of fantastic wineries. Just north of the city lies the Cowichan Valley and the Saanich Peninsula, both of which are home to mild temperatures and fertile land that are ideal for winemaking. Try the island-grown Sirius White blend at Rocky Creek Winery, do a little yoga in the vineyard at Church & State Wines, enjoy a meal (with a glass of wine, of course) on Unsworth Vineyard’s sunny patio, or take an in-depth Grape to Glass tour at Blue Grouse Estate Winery. And don’t forget to purchase a bottle of wine to take home!

I took my first trip to Disney when I was six and haven't stopped traveling since. I fell in love with It’s a Small World. How great was it to visit numerous countries on a joyous boat ride! Since then, I've traveled to 50+ countries on six continents. In 2017, I traveled around the world and visited 23 countries – I spent more than a month in Italy and England and also enjoyed time in Israel, Japan, France and Morocco. While I spent a lot of time traveling solo, I also enjoyed time with my family and friends. Seeing their joy discovering new places helped me discover the joy that comes from planning a magical trip. From then, I decided to turn my passion into a profession.
Some of my favorite places to go include Italy, London, Paris, New York City, Boston, The Grand Canyon, The Galapagos Islands, Israel and Japan.
