Island Hop Your Way Through Greece
With centuries of history imbued into its thousands of beautiful islands, Greece is a prime destination for exploration. Start in the capital city of Athens, where the most well-known sites in the country await. Stare in awe at the iconic Acropolis, then race across the Panathenaic Stadium just as many Olympians did prior. From there, you’ll be enraptured. In Heraklion, the largest city on the Greek island of Crete, walk along thousands-year-old streets to impressive landmarks, like the Minoan Palace of Knossos, the St. Minas Cathedral, and the Church of Titus. In Santorini, snap literally hundreds of photos of the blue-and-white palette of an island, framed by the even more vibrant Aegean Sea. And in lesser-known Meteora, visit one of the half-dozen active monasteries perched upon natural sandstone columns, once only accessible by the toughest of treks—and as the cherry on top, the region’s name translates to “suspended in the air”.
